PerkinElmer Arc Flash Hazard Analysis

PerkinElmer is a 10,000+ employee company focused in the business areas of diagnostics, life science research, food, environmental & industrial testing. They are part of the S&P 500 index and operate in over 150 countries. SGE was hired to perform an arc flash hazard analysis for their Shelton, CT building. Existing documentation was reviewed and numerous on-site investigations were performed to help construct a diagram of how the electrical systems are connected within the building. After creation of this diagram, data was gathered for each relevant piece of equipment. Upon completion, arc flash hazard labels were produced & affixed to over 100 pieces of equipment throughout the building to help PerkinElmer maintain compliance with NFPA 70E.
