550 Research Parkway Electrical Service Upgrade

550 Research Parkway is a 300,000+ square foot commercial / industrial building located in Meriden, CT. The building owner (Sky Management) engaged SGE to design a new electrical service for a portion of the building. The new service consists of a new 13.8kv utility primary, pad mounted utility transformer, 480 Volt exterior switchboard, service wiring and re-connections to existing building loads. The project also included demolition of a 13.8kV metering enclosure, cabling, liquid-filled transformer and an existing switchboard. The project was designed in close coordination with the utility company and building owner to ensure all requirements were met.
